Last night Colbie Caillat performed live on Jay Leno. Colbie I believe is originally from Kaui. Joining her on this performance as well as on her tour with The Goo Goo Dolls, are some Hawaii people.

This is probably the question that is most often asked: “How should I warm up before playing the ‚Äòukulele?” I don’t think I can even count the amount of emails that I have received with this very question. So I figured that rather than explaining to each person what I do, and let me emphasize that this is only my method. It is not a standard method although many of the exercises are adapted from standard guitar exercises. You don’t have to do these exercises to warm up. AKAI is planning to discontinue production the MPC I have which is the MPC-4000, but you know these machines will always be around, with new versions and more bells and whistles. Hip Hop beat makers just can’t do without them. Boon Doc is playing a new version of an MPC called the MPC-1000. For those still interested in picking up an MPC-4000 i believe there are only a few left in production, and they are all going to Guitar Center.
