Here we are all three of your hosts are online and from the top of the program. Dr. Trey, The Icon and Vbro are all hanging out talking story. We talk about Raiatea Helm’s newest CD which is surprisingly good according to Trey. Also, we refer to the tribute concert to Princess Diana. Is her last name Spencer? Yes this show is longer than usual, but we needed a bit extra time to cover some of the topics that Bran missed out on. Once again Daniel and House join us in the chat. If you want the promised link because you have DoctorTrey.com on your top 8 MySpace, email Dr. Trey with the link to your MySpace Page. We’ve been talking about this for a long time now, and I am aware that this website shares many visitors with the Mighty J website, but this post is for those who don’t visit MightyJMusic.com. Just wanted y’all to know that Mighty J’s debut cd releases today. This CD is the one that we’ve been working hard on, and for you the fans of The DoctorTrey.com podcast, keep in mind that this group is our baby. We actually saw the birth of this group on episode 14 of season 1. So if you’ve missed that one, go check it out. The CD itself features 13 songs, 12 of which are originals. If you haven’t had a chance to head out to pick up your copy yet, please do so now. I’ll wait.

Fundraiser in Waikele for Virginia Tech Victims

Posted in DoctorTrey.com News, Press Releases on May 1st, 2007 by Dr. Trey

I thought that although this isn’t music related, y’all might be interested.

Jeremiah and Heidi Rasmussen sent an email over to me regarding a fundraiser they are holding for the Victims of the Virginia Tech Tragedy. The fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 5th. From 9am till 7pm at Office Max in Waikele. They will be accepting cash and check donations. Checks can be made out to UWMRF, please indicate in the memo line the gift is specifically for United In Caring Fund. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be sent to the United Way to:

1. Fulfill unmet needs of the victims and their families, including emergency needs and mental health services.

2. Support community-wide recovery through programs like mental health support and childrens programs to address school violence.

They are holding this in part with Office Max, Aloha Signs, and United Way of Montgomery, Radford, and Floyd counties in Virginia.

This is a very nice way to share Aloha so if you’re in the area or aren’t doing anything, please be sure to stop by. Incidentally this isn’t entirely non-music related because Heidi is actually a singer!
