AKAI is planning to discontinue production the MPC I have which is the MPC-4000, but you know these machines will always be around, with new versions and more bells and whistles. Hip Hop beat makers just can’t do without them. Boon Doc is playing a new version of an MPC called the MPC-1000. For those still interested in picking up an MPC-4000 i believe there are only a few left in production, and they are all going to Guitar Center.

The first person who told me about Twitter was Roxanne Darling of Beach Walks Fame. I don’t know how these guys hear about these things, but I’ve since learned that Twitter is taking the web by storm in much the same way that MySpace did. So I may be wrong as to what Twitter is or does, but it seems it’s basic purpose is to let people know what you are doing when you are doing it. From my limited experience, it seems that I can even update it from my cell phone. So…here’s the problem. Right now I only have 3 twitter friends. I think I need more because I’m sure everyone wants to know what I’m doing right? So head over to my twitter page and befriend me.
